NYC Licensed Site Safety Coordinator

Position Overview Responsible for the safety management of a construction project, the Licensed Site Safety Coordinator ensures compliance with established safety standards. Produces the Site Safety, Noise Mitigation and Fire Safety plans; communicates safety plans to all project team participants. Responsibilities Assist project teams to prepare their site-specific safety program. Inspect jobsites for compliance and prepare reports. Follow up to ensure necessary corrections are made in a timely manner.  Provide reports to Project Managers regarding inspection findings and recommendations.  Investigate and report all accidents and claims. Remain current on all OSHA regulations and assist with regulatory inspections by OSHA and EPA, documenting these inspections.  Ability to evaluate circumstances, assess potential outcomes and develop timely solutions. Interface with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Subcontractors to identify, evaluate and eliminate hazards. Qualifications & Requirements Must possess an active New York City DOB Site Safety Coordinator License. College degree in Construction or Safety Management is preferred. Minimum 5 years in a comparable site safety position and/or field manager position for a commercial general contractor.  OSHA 30-hour construction safety course required and completion of OSHA 500 within first year of hire. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel Project) and AutoCAD. Well developed communications, decision making, financial analysis, interpersonal, organizational and teamwork skills are necessary.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
