Power Systems Service

The primary function of the Stand By - Power Systems Generator Division Service Team is to review service calls from the prior day and provide quotes to customers for all follow up work written up from the technician in a timely manner.


The Service Team then tracks open follow-up quotes and obtains approval from the customer to be scheduled.


This position is also to assist with dispatch and scheduling preventative maintenance and emergency customer appointments, as well as, the communication of parts required for each service to the parts department, then assisting to confirm that the parts are available 3 or more days before the schedule work.


Essential Position Functions:





  • Review prior day work orders and quote all necessary follow up work to the customer in a timely manner.


  • Track and follow up on quotes to obtain approval from the customer.


  • Work with parts to ensure all parts are available 3 or more days before the scheduled work.


  • Renew customer preventative maintenance contracts as needed.


  • Receive emergency and non-emergency service calls from customers and schedule service technicians as needed.


  • Schedule customers for their preventative maintenance services.


  • Enter and maintain new preventative maintenance customer orders into the database including account status checks.


  • Provide as a backup to dispatch, parts and billing as needed.






  • Minimum 2 years experience in coordinating labor schedules


  • Strong computer skills and comfortable with new technology in order to manage service communications and related business processes


  • Excellent communication and organization skills


  • Two year technical experience (mechanical or electrical) preferred


  • Experience with assisting technicians troubleshoot and/or diagnose electrical equipment (generator, ATS, switchgear) AC/DC, and diesel engine troubleshooting and repair preferred


  • High School Degree


  • Valid Driver?s license

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
