Quality Director

Our client, a personal care company located in Hudson County that produces products for the medical community including those regulated by the FDA, is seeking a Quality Director to join their team.
Salary: $120 - $130K
Position Overview: The Quality Director will be a very hands-on manager and leader who will mentor and guide the 6-8 QC and QA professionals in the lab. The Quality Director will oversee regulatory compliance and the quality control lab. Also, he or she will work hand in hand with others on the senior management team.
Responsibilities of the Quality Director:

  • Quality Control: Oversee the laboratory and workers within the lab, proactively plan for the lab and respond to issues that arise

  • Regulatory: Oversee the Regulatory Compliance for the lab and the Quality Department, Regulatory compliance including federal, state and FDA

  • Collaborate: Work with the lead of Operators and senior management on compliance and related questions/topics/initiatives

  • Presentations: Make presentations or reports to stakeholders or company leads when necessary

Qualification for the Quality Director:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Quality leader in a pharmaceutical, cosmetic, personal care or related industry

  • 10+ years of related Quality experience on or off the bench

  • Experience overseeing Regulatory Compliance

  • Experience managing a team of 5+ scientific professionals in and outside the lab

  • The ability to multitask and prioritize small initiatives and large projects

  • Patience to work with senior management to upgrade the expectations within the organization in regards to Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance initiatives

  • Experience overseeing a lab and related responsibilities like ordering new instruments and managing costs

  • Great communication skills for written needs and oral presentations

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
