Manufacturing
Summary:
Machinist will machine, inspect and produce manufactured product per operating procedures and instructions. Machines used in shop: Milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, OD/ID grinders, EDM's, Gun-drill, laser, manual polishing to A1 finish.
Skills /
Qualifications:
o Ability to machine metals, parts and castings to close tolerances.
o Open to assisting in maintenance and operation
o General knowledge of machining methods, cutting tools, cutting qualities of metals and overall manufacturing experience.
o Demonstrated ability in the use of micrometers, vernier calipers, overhead crane and hand tools.
o Proficient use of shop math.
o Ability to read blueprints, work from layouts and dimensions on drawings, using indicators, height gauges, etc.
o Ability to load, align, perform set-up and operate machines per drawing instructions.
o Maintain quality and quantity with strong sense of accountability and high standards.
o Maintain clean and orderly work area.
o Follow all safety procedures.
o Good communication and interpersonal skills with attention to detail
o Operates and cleans manufacturing equipment
o Participates in problem-solving teams, to resolve mechanical, process and safety issues.
o Provides input to Supervisor and team regarding equipment performance and daily output.
o Performs housekeeping/sanitization activities, to maintain production areas
o Maintains/helps ensure a safe working environment.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
